Construction commenced in September 2021 including a 2,500sqm warehouse/bulk store with a 150sqm mezzanine, a 600sqm showroom and 460sqm of office and staff amenity areas. In addition to the main building the development included a 3,500sqm yard area, storage canopies and 63 car parks for staff and customers.
Tumu partnered with TimberSpan, Strata Group and Potius Building Systems to develop an innovative hybrid design utilising a mixture of steel and sustainable Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) components within the structure.
Completed in September 2022, the property has been retained within the TUMU Property investment portfolio.
Tumu co-owns the neighbouring 5,400sqm at 2 Martin Place – the last piece of vacant commercial/industrial land in Havelock North. Plans for developing this piece of land are currently in progress.
